Marketing and Customer Service Coordinator
Community Clay is seeking a Marketing and Customer Service Coordinator.

This role is responsible for keeping our public-facing messaging accurate and consistent across channels, capturing photos and videos, and providing excellent customer service through phones, text, email, and in person.
Growth path: This role is marketing and customer service focused to start. There is potential for this position to expand into a full-time role that includes additional responsibilities.

No previous experience in ceramics/pottery is required.

Schedule and employment details

Hours: 20 hours per week to start.

Employment type: 1099 contract for 3 months, then hourly W2.​

Availability: Primarily working out of our RiNo studio. M-F, with occasional evening and weekend hours.

Starting at $22/hr, salary and performance review at 3 months.
Key responsibilities
Customer service and communication

Answer phones, respond to customer service emails, and reply to texts in a friendly, helpful, and professional voice.

Support customers with common questions: class/workshop details, memberships, ticketing issues, studio policies, accessibility, directions/parking, and scheduling.

Support prospective and current members. Respond in a timely manner to member applications.
Marketing

Create assets using our already-created templates.

Take photos and short-form video in the studio for marketing use.
Requirements and skills

1-3+ years experience in customer service, communications, marketing support, or a related coordination role

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable texting and documenting information clearly.

Comfortable with marketing and event tools like Eventbrite, Canva, etc.

Comfortable using an iPad and basic digital tools.​

Comfortable taking photos/videos on a phone (we can provide you with one if you need).

Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Experience in arts, hospitality, community spaces, or small business environments.

Strong preference for a commitment of at least 1 year.
Training and growth

Responsibilities may evolve over time as studio needs change.

Interested in ceramics/pottery: You don’t need to be an expert, but you’re genuinely excited about the medium and community.
