How Art Club Works

Art Club is Community Clay's non-clay activities. Here you'll make arts and crafts in a beginner friendly, no-stress atmosphere. Most are 2 hours long and generally in the evening, and all Art Club events are inexpensive with a project you'll leave with the same day. Made especially for adults, Art Club classes are small (max of 12!), and held several times a month. All materials included!

Upcoming Crafts Classes

  • June 11, 6pm - Pride your own Sunglasses

    • In this fun Pride themed event, we will be embellishing the sunglasses you bring to class with fun and colorful beads, paper and glitter. All you need to bring is a pair of sunglasses that you don't mind making permanently fabulous. We'll have some on-hand if you need.

  • June 25, 6pm - Pride your own Jeans, Canvas Shoes, or Jean Jacket

    • You have your shades, now let's create the rest of your look! We will be using permanent fabric paint so please bring items you don't mind being covered in rainbows. For this class, you'll need a pair of jeans, a pair of canvas shoes, or a jean jacket. We will show you how to make fabric paint out of regular art supplies and make them last on your clothes.

  • July 9, 6pm - Linocut Stamp Carving

    • Linocut is a printmaking technique where a design is carved into a sheet of linoleum, inked, and stamped onto paper or fabric. Join Bree as she shows how to use a Speedball linocut tool on carving blocks then demos how you can make fabric prints, totes and more. We will be using sharp tools in this class, but it will be beginner friendly.

  • July 23, 6pm - Yarn Paintings

    • This class is centered around expressing ourselves in fiber. We will upcycle yarn to create stunning touchable tactile yarn "paintings" inspired by succulents, although you are welcome to venture off and create your own masterpiece. The technique is extremely easy and beginner friendly.
