Join guest artist Tristin Teal for an immersive workshop exploring Mishima, a centuries-old ceramic technique celebrated for its intricate surface design.

In this workshop, Tristin will guide you through the Mishima process, from carving your design into a pre-made leather hard clay piece to inlaying colored slip and revealing the finished pattern. You'll learn how thoughtful linework and texture can transform functional pottery into beautifully detailed, one-of-a-kind pieces.

If you're new to pottery, handbuilding is a very approachable way to get to know clay as an artistic medium. This class is project-based event to make Chonky Pets. It's a fun way to learn some of the basics of handbuilding.
